It is a matter of great concern that many children who need proper medical support and treatment still do not get it because of prejudice, misunderstanding, or a simple general lack of awareness of psychological problems related to children. The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is actively trying to broaden awareness of psychological treatments for children to encourage both children and those who take care of them to seek help when they need it.

For instance, our monthly public seminars provide full explanations by experts of various topics, such as “Mood disorders in children: Major depression and Bipolar disorder.” We distribute pamphlets about primal treatments for children, and continually update our Website with topical information.
